Class Starts at 10am Saturday.
You'll be making your very own cutting board in this class.
Choosing either Cherry or Hard Maple wood for your project we'll be going over several fundamentals
Choosing wood - What wood are good choices for a cutting board project and what to look for when choosing your boards
Jointer Theory - How to flatten boards and get them ready for the rest of the processes
Planer Operation - How to operate a planer and get your boards ready for cutting on the tablesaw
Tablesaw operation - How to safely use a tablesaw, what blades to choose, and how to cut your boards
Gluing - Types of glue and adhesives, gluing your project, clamping considerations
Shaping and final cutting, round overs routing tables, engraving and final oiling
Final cutting board dimensions will be approximately 12 inches wide x 17 inches long x 1.5 inches thick
The day will start at 10am and will take approximately 8 hours total with a 1 hour lunch break sometime in the middle
This class is for ages 18 years old and older
